Background of ZAN

ZAN Leads CSO Engagement on HIV Sustainability Roadmap with UNAIDS Support

The Zimbabwe AIDS Network was established in 1992 as a membership-based network with the fundamental responsibility to coordinate Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the country to respond to the HIV and AIDS pandemic as well as other non-communicable diseases and emerging health pandemics efficiently and effectively. The membership includes AIDS Service Organizations (ASOs), private sector

companies, mission and private hospitals, faith-based organizations (FBOs), community-based organizations (CBOs) and tertiary education institutions. ZAN has a national network membership of 220+ members. Administration of the Network is run by the Secretariat which is made up of the National Coordinator and staff at the Head Office in Harare. ZAN is operational in all the 10 administrative provinces of the country which we call chapters.
